why do we exist?

Kent girls elite fc

The club was established in June 2020 following the closure of the Gillingham Regional Talent Club (RTC). With no other FA recognised player pathway for girls in Kent we decided something had to be done.

The club works in partnership with the Kent FA Player Development Centre (PDC) and provides a team and league environment where the girls can put their training and development into practice against equivalent teams. Our team coaches are the same as the PDC coaches and offer a professional level of coaching on game day.

We run teams in 3 age groups currently, Under 10, Under 12, Under 14 and Under 16. The Under 12 team plays in the East Kent Youth League against grass roots boys/mixed teams. The Under 14 and the Under 16 teams play their league football in the Junior Premier League.

Junior Premier League

Our Under 16 and Under 14 teams play in the Junior Premier League (JPL) girls divisions. We play against women’s national league clubs across the south of England, including Tottenham, West Ham, Yeovil, AFC Bournemouth, AFC Wimbledon to name a few.

East Kent Youth Football League

Our Under 12 team plays in the East Kent Youth League. We play against regional boys/mixed teams which offers competitive football to assist the girls to develop in line with the guidelines of the FA Talent pathway for girls.
